    Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 Backup

Just wondered if anyone here had experience of this?

If I change the settings of my Windows 7 Backup, by removing a folder in the Settings, will Windows then remove that folder from the 'Backed-up' copy on my external hard-drive, or will it still retain the old info?

Reason I'm asking is that my 300Gb external drive is struggling for space, and at the moment I've been deleting the existing backup entirely, then running a new one.

I don't like doing it this way though, as it means I have no backup for a small window of time. Things could go wrong....

Any ideas would be great thanks,
    Darren.

Get a larger drive... the prices are dirt cheap...

    Hello Darren,

Sorry, but no. The old backup will still remain on the HDD along with the newer incremental backup with the change. The only way to remove it is to delete the entire backup folder, then create a new backup with the changes.

Getting a new 1TB would be the easiest way to not have to worry about this if that is an option for you though. They have gotten pretty cheap these days.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
