Windows 7 - System Image Recovery, Win PE, Recovery Partition

Hi all,

I'm new here. Experimenting with Windows 7, WDS, the AIK, BitLocker and System Image Backup.

I have a problem with the 'System Image Recovery' in that the backup I saved to my recovery partition is not listed (I'm using Win PE 2.0 from 'winpe.wim' uploaded to the recovery partition to access the recovery GUI). As soon as I hit 'System Image Recovery', I'm told no images could be found. There's no opportunity to browse to find one, only specify a network location or upload mass storage drivers for removable media.

I created the 20GB recovery partition as per instructions previously found on other forums (it is of type 'ID=27', primary) and I had no trouble saving the image here through the Windows 7 Backup utility on to the recovery (D partition - Both the Windows system and recovery partitions are BitLocker enabled (but have been unlocked and I can browse the contents via the PE command prompt), I have not moved the image to a different folder... I notice when I type 'Hostname' in Windows PE I get something entirely different to the actual host name, so I have experimented with renaming the subfolder of 'WindowsImageBackup' to the same but it makes no difference.

Can someone please tell me why I can't see it?
