| | well, the thing is that i dont know if my dad did anything to set anything up. the story is: i bought a laptop, connected wirelessly to my parents computer modem, the wireless adapter stopped working and then i am now connecting to the internet via ethernet cable. it is a broadband modem( the type with 5-6 ethernet ports in the back). if any of this helps |

I don't think anyone could have adjusted the system restore settings on your laptop without a) physically accessing your laptop or b) deliberately accessing it through the network. I don't see the relevance of whether you're connected via a wireless or wired connection. How many user accounts are on your laptop? You need to be signed in with Administrator privileges. |
