Preparing for RC1 installation - data backup question..

In preparation for the RC1 installation, what is the best way to backup all my user data?

Can I use the backup feature within Build 7000 or is it safest to copy the contents of each folder individually to a removable media?

Also, would it be possible once installed to have the user folders on a separate volume? (in my old xp build I had 'my documents' on another drive, and all my essentials like .pst files and favourite files resident there also - which made backing up a user really simple as all my essentials were on one volume).

one way would be to use Easy transfer ( start, search; easy transfer... follow the wizard). It should move all of your user data ( c:/users/name..) and then you can point to any other folders as needed. It might not move all of your apps... but it does get the job done.

I used transfer wizard the first time yesterday. Wow is all i will say. Everything just the way it was. Even my theme came back. Once it had finished i was real hard pushed to actually think that i had reinstalled. All i had to do was reinstall my progs. Job done. Bug thumbs up to MS on that one
