    Lenovo backup partition deleted

Ok so i got my Lenovo thinkpad T510 about two weeks ago, and i noticed i had a lot of hdd space that i couldn't access. So i decided to do what my sister had done, delete the R&R partition that comes with thinkpads. after rebooting into windows i find that windows won't load and it said "This is not a bootable disk. Please insert a bootable floppy and press any key to try again"

The only think i did was delete a partition called "System_DRV"

I've been looking around and i found a thread on this forum that said all i would have to do is use the Startup Repair option, yet the laptop says "windows cannot repair this computer automatically"

Here is the tread that i found. Rescue & Recovery Creating System_DRV Drive

Thank you in advanced if you try and help me, even if you don't manage

Ahhhhh....you can't delete that partition. You need to use the link you provided and recover the partition. That will get your machine back up and working.

Here is a link for some free software: http://partedmagic.com/

Oh, if you didn't realize the DRV partition has already been deleted.

This is correct because the partition needed is deleted. You need to make a recovery CD with the Partition Magic on it and use that to UNDELETE the partition and everything will work fine. Be careful trying things with the Windows 7 DVD it is easy to mess up the partition so much that you CANNOT recover it and then you will be left with doing a fresh install of Windows 7.

You want to recover the partition, not delete or reformat.
