Dual Booting XP Pro SP3 and Win7Pro System Restore.

I have a dual boot on my PC, original winXP on disk0 (manager and sata cable position), then I have a data drive in position 1, and my Windows 7 system in drive 2. They both work OK. However, I have the usual problem of when booting out of XP and back into 7 all the 7's system restore points are deleted. I have followed the instructions in Kb926185, regarding HKLM subkey for offline devices, but I still have the problem. The other system drives are called Z, in both systems (used for bcd editor). Have I overlooked something.
