    Backup and Restore not working

My first B/U and Restore worked fine. Now I want to add a schedule.
When I click on "backup Now" no response. "change setting' and 'schedule backup' don't have response either.

I can't answer your question in regards to Windows Backup, but I will make a quick suggestion.

Due to the fact that Windows Backup isn't as reliable as many of the third party alternatives, I highly suggest that you try one. My favorite is Macrium Reflect Free Edition, but Norton Ghost is a good product as well.

In the case of Macrium, it allows you to create a carbon copy of any hard drive or partition. Once you've created your first copy, you should create the Boot CD using the Linux Live CD option and attempt to revert to that system image by booting into the CD. If all goes well and you successfully restore your computer using the system image and boot cd, then you know you have a reliable backup solution.

I believe you have to pay for online backup ( at least if you want a decent amount of storage - e.g. for complete partition/drive backups ).

Also, can you afford the bandwidth , and the time it takes.

Do you really want the contents of your pc going across the net to be stored on some server god knows where?

    I'll pass , thanks.

A couple of truly excellent free backup solutions:

Paragon Backup & Recovery 10 Free Edition

Macrium Reflect FREE Edition - Information and download
