Wont let me use restore points

I tried to restore to previous restore point but says i have errors on disk and then when i try to run the fix option says cant do while disk in use and to schedule a disk check but nothing ever happens and it doesnt fix need help please

My System Restore hasn't worked for months - I've given up on it.
It always makes a restore point, but I can never restore to a point.
I just keep my fingers crossed.
