Got around to testing my upgrades with this benchmark too.

Here's the first score I got with my new hardware:

Can you believe that? Obviously I could not let that stand. So after a little tweaking, here's my current high score:

So... Do I get my own color group??? Maybe teal would be next in line using the color scheme?

Very nice score Wrend, just for my own interest could you give a breakdown of each individual score? i.e CPU/both GPU scores/mem and HDD scores.

Will update the leaderboard in a sec

    Edit: Updated

I am mainly interested in the score for the SSD Wrend but will find all the rest interesting too. The reason being I got beat by Essenbe a long time back, he has the same GPU and Ram as me but my CPU kills his, the only reason I could see for him beating me is a silly score from the SSD maybe with rapid mode enabled of something.(I have asked him to run it again but apparently he can't unless he buys it, even though I can run it just fine for a long time with the free version)I have ran passmark before with a cache disk and scored 7600+ (see screenshot) but I would not submit that score.

Thanks, Paul. But about that color group...

It doesn't seem to save the high score results on it's own(?), and I only took those screenshots.

I'll try and run it again at the same OC soon (it crashed a few times on me getting that score though) and I'll post the details of those results.

    ...

But now that you mention it, yes, I do have rapid mode enabled on my Samsung SSD. It basically works as an SSD cache on the RAM, so I imagine it can yield higher results than otherwise.

Up to you guys if you consider that a valid score or not. If not, let me know, and I'll run the test again with it disabled.

Ok, thanks Wrend, I would love to know as my score is well down for some reason. I am not even sure if Passmark uses SLI but again I will be interested to see your GPU scores.

Haha true, I will change the color for a 7K score in a min.

FYI: It can kind of use SLI.

Read this former post of mine on this thread for more info about it: https://www.sevenforums.com/benchmark...ml#post2514200

    ...

    Updated with correct post link.

Also, please reread my earlier post about my SSD using rapid mode and weather or not my score should stand... (I'll rerun the test with it disabled if need be.)

Paul, I never used rapid mode but for about 1 day, just to see how it did, then turned it off because it gave great benchmark numbers, but had no effect on daily usage performance. I have never used it again. Personally. I think it's just a gimmick to make you think you're going faster. So, I am fairly sure that was not the reason. Next time I do a clean install, I'll run it again. Somewhere Passmark puts an entry into the registry probably that says your trial is up. Every time I install it, it says it won't run, and I have tried to run it again. So, next time I reinstall, which will be in a week or two, I'll download it again. If that is not good enough for you, I have tons of money, I'll just buy it to appease you.

BTW< I think my score in passmark was one of those rogue scores. I don't believe it, but I don't have a lot of faith in Passmark anyway. You've read their numbers for what you should get and scored 1000 points higher.

It was probably the day you ran Passmark Performance test.

I still don't understand why you need to re-install or buy it. I have had it running on my current build for 6 months and that's the free trial version. There is no need to buy it, the basic tests are free forever with Passmark 8. Maybe you do need a re-install of your OS, perhaps you botched it or maybe you have an infection. I don't know but I don't mind if you can't run it again really I don't. I think Wrend can give me all the info I need from his breakdown when he gets back to me. My rig is lacking behind for some reason and Wrend will be able to answer that.

Thanks, though I'm not sure if they're deemed to be legitimate results now.

    ...

Paul, please reread my last few posts, as I had updated them with more info, and let me know what you think. I do plan on using rapid mode on a regular basis to help speed up my disk a little compared to my HDD and how it would sometimes even cache 40GB to my RAM using Windows SuperFetch. (Ironically, maybe a niche advantage to using an HDD instead of an SSD as your Windows system drive.)

Also, this benchmark can somewhat take advantage of SLI, when set to use alternate frame rendering 2, so you guys may want to add in an SLI/Crossfire section in the scoreboard for this benchmark. This may also discribe some of the discrepancies others have had between their expected scores(?).

    Thanks.
