Yea, thanks Doug. The truth is, with any of these 980s, there is no reason I have seen to overclock them other than these benchmark threads. I don't own a game that will make them work hard. These things are a beast. Of course, the benchmarking is fun, but for gaming, I don't see any advantage in overclocking....yet. I'm sure someone is working on a game right now that will make it work hard.

Yeah i'm still selling the other card in the meantime why not have some fun

Some jerk tried to dupe me by offering me $250 saying the card isn't worth more than that then he goes on about a 980 970 being round the same price and i told him good then go buy a 980 so you don't have to buy mine lol

he tried twice i just kept declining his offer plus he was in Australia where the shipping would kill me so this Dikhead would of just got pretty much a free card for 200 he must of been born yesterday because i sure as hell wasn't lol

Tommy, I just saw you joined the club. Congratulations, I'm happy for you. I'm sure your Wife may have a different word for it. Which one did you get?

I see what you mean Steve, even the 970 is a beast. I will chug along with my 760 for a while, but one day I will get a 9xx card :)

Well played Tommy, now update your specs

She is fine with it besides if i want to return it i can lol

The 780 still runs like a champ i just had to see what all the hum drum was about hahaha

The wife is fine because she needed a favor so in order for the favor to go how she wanted she had to give in to my demands lmao

I've heard a lot of good stuff about those, Tommy. You do seem to have a liking for Gigabyte cards though.

Yeah Gigabytes design i like and the fact it is a very cool GPU is great

What i have noticed thus far is not too much over my 780 ti but it does give a whole new scale of clarity though the colors and the speed of the frames seems to be alot cleaner than my other card

    Just not mind blowing fast

I get driver crash round 1545 boost but then again that is freaking super high

Mem is between 500-700 but makes no real difference

I think my set up maybe the reason it isn't on par with all of your or it could be the CPU after all Paul does have a true 6 core
