280X in Crossfire

I'm not sure if Crossfire is at it's optimum configuration. I'm going to swap card position when I get the water block for the second card.

Thanks guys, I think this score is about all I can do. I've got the cpu side running better, maybe a bit more from the gpu side. I'm at 1160/1605. ! card is still on air, I may get more memory clock when both are on water.

Nice score MCB, it's a real big GPU score, the CPU is the only thing holding back your overall score.

Anyone have a spare i7 I can borrow?

The idea of a i7 and a good asus board has been floating around between what brain cells I have left. The ball and chain would can't complain to much, I just sent her and her girlfriend to the spa for the weekend, my treat.

Lol, you have a good excuse then.

But in reality you don't really need a new CPU, it may be bottlenecking your GPU's slightly but not massively. Have a look at Solars score in the SLI/Xfire section, he had 2x 7970's which are essentially the same as yours but he ran this bench with an i7.
I think if you had 2x 780's/780ti's or 2x R9 290X then the bottleneck could be quite a lot but as it stands I doubt you would notice any difference between your CPU and an i7 other than in benchmark scores.

Of course if you really want to go for an i7 I say go for it!! Haha.

This one & previous one were made without the Lucid MVP as it tells me NOT a valid result!
I was expecting a little more...

I know the free version is a pain due to all the demo that has to be watched etc, but it is a very current benchmark used on many forums. It has to have a place here. I paid for it recently which eliminates the need for all the demo etc but you can still run it if you have the patience for free. ...

Windows 7 experience scores...Does RAM affect other scores?
Are areas other than RAM affected (score wise on the WEI assessment) by the amount of RAM you have? I had an A42JV notebook with 4gb, but it had some issues and I traded it in for K42JV which only has 2 GB. The processor and GPU are the same, yet now my Windows experience score for Aero...
