Good job of coaxing, Mellon Head. Sometimes coaxing won't work and you have to kick it where the sun don't shine.

Took a few tries, but I managed to coax this from my system:

    Attachment 352173

    R9 280, AMD FX-8350
Are you running stock 8350 ?

I just cranked the 8320E i just got to 4.6 on offset settings seems to be pretty smooth

I have a GTX760 Striker 4GB 256BIT but tomorrow after work taking the striker back for a 970 then i can truly run some heavy benches

I'm running at 4.4 right now, thinking of going a little higher. Where my PC really falls down is in the physics tests. I'm getting <25 fps and there is no way I should with a 4.4 GHz CPU and eight cores maxed out.

    And I'm jealous.

lol yeah i hear you on that chip loosing to physics the chip i got though has a lower thermal design and has a better memory pipeline

Going back to AMD was a hard choice given they are only doing the APU market now i was debating glad i chose the E series FX than getting a APU the CPU is 95.1 watts talk about better power consumption

Thanks, Steve. I might just give it a swift kick out the door and buy Intel, if I can't get any better physics scores than I've been getting. :)
