It is curious that your score is so much higher. I've heard that the 770 is basically a firmware updated 680. Not sure how accurate that really is though.

Either way, great score!

I'll be upgrading my 680s likely in a little less than a year from now to whatever the two highest-end Nvidia single GPU gaming/crunching cards there are. So, not much contest from me on single GPU performance until then, at least.

Something strange in the neighborhood

Updated my graphics driver this morning as I hadn't updated since installing the card in August.

Of course, after the update I had to check my benchmarks to see if anything had changed. I got a decent boost in the OpenGL test, but found an anomaly. If I ran the test multiple times, the score was lower for each subsequent run. If I closed and restarted Cinebench then the first test would be back to the high score with each subsequent test scoring lower than the previous.

I was running Precision X with an OC, noticed that on the first run of OpenGL the core clock would rise to the Base setting of 832MHz and stay there for the entire test. On the next test (and each following test) the clock would initially rise to 832MHz and then drop to ~600MHz. The GPU clock never went higher than the Base setting.

Very odd. Anyhow, here's how the scores panned out. The first score is the highest I ever got with the old drivers, the second is the highest with the latest driver and the third is the score after running the test 4 times in succession (latest driver).

Big Tabs that is a great score but seriously a 7870 is doing 146fps there has to be a reason why mine doesn't get that high lol

I am officially embarrassed

It must be going off of resolution there is no way a 7870 can out perform a 7970 just saying

Windows 7 experience scores...Does RAM affect other scores?
Are areas other than RAM affected (score wise on the WEI assessment) by the amount of RAM you have? I had an A42JV notebook with 4gb, but it had some issues and I traded it in for K42JV which only has 2 GB. The processor and GPU are the same, yet now my Windows experience score for Aero...
