I updated my graphics drivers and got a better score:

    And it's a 280, not a 280X :)

    Since a plain Jane R9 280 isn't represented here, I'll add mine. :)

You know the R9 280 is just a renamed 7950. AMD had a great GPU and were trying to get a little more mileage out of it. What are your clocks on it? I know for a fact you can get at least 1150ish on the core and 1500 on the memory. I used to run 3 x 7950's. I sold one and put the other two in my son's computer. He's got a pretty solid little gaming machine made out of my old spare parts. I love my 970's, but I'm actually pretty pissed off about the 3.5GB memory situation. In games like dying light with everything maxxed out, it will get to around 3560mb and it will start to stutter some. I recently finished the game, however it definitely affects the cards. In areas with video memory maxxed, I would get around 50-110 fps, in areas with only around 2GB used, I'd get around 120-200+fps. I joined the lawsuit the other day. I'm hoping for free upgrades to 980's or something.

Anyways, great scores bud. Enjoy that card, it's still pretty solid.

I am definitely enjoying the card. I can play my games at high settings and it looks great. Clocks are 1000 for the GPU and 1300 for the memory. I'm not really thinking of pushing it in case I break it. I'd die if I had to go back to my old 7770. Besides, the wife would kill me.

I've been meaning to post a score on my laptop for about a year.
This is my gaming laptop and it is no where near as powerful as my desktop, however I think it's pretty decent for a laptop and it plays most games pretty well. It can even play dying light at well above 40fps on medium detail

    Asus Republic of Gamers G46VW Gaming Laptop, i5 3210m @ 3.1ghz, GTX 660M - Core OC +135, Memory + 405.
Firestrike Score - 2021(1/9th as powerful as my Desktop )
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i5-3210M Processor,ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. G46VW

You fried your 7970's? I thought you said you sold them.
    How'd you manage that?

I played around with some of the settings and managed to unlock the OC limit on the 660m
It runs stock at 950mhz Core and 5000mhz Mem
I've got it running at 1200mhz core and 5900mhz Mem, Completely Stable. I'm actually pretty surprised with the OC capability of a laptop GPU. They seriously underrated it.

I know it's nothing special, but I've got it running among the best of the 660 mobiles according to the similar system score on fire strike.

You've posted some nice scores, Mellon Head. Good job, well done.

@SikMindZ, those are some good scores for a laptop. Good job.
