Wow, you`re bustin my chops Paul, when all you have is a 60 Hz monitor ?

Who care about a higher resolution for gaming, 1080p is fine, a higher refresh rate is more important, enough said

Depends some what games you are playing. But fps games I would choose higher refreshrate instead of resolution :)

    The price is nice too

Ya Doug, a 24" is plenty big enough for my desk. That and some Dominator are up next

Niklu, name some games that are above 1080p.

It was a bit of a windup really. If I had the chance I would run 4x 980ti on a single monitor. I don't envisage that happening anytime soon though lol.

As far as high res gaming is concerned I play all the latest games at 2560x1440p and they look fantastic. More detail and a wider field of view. It is obviously more demanding on the GPU though but my 980 handles it at around ultra settings for now.

The main thing for me right now is that my PC has fixed itself after the leaking water cooler. That was a big worry.
I sent it back yesterday for a refund and ordered a Corsair H110i GT cooler. Hopefully I will have better luck with that sucker!

Cool Thrashzone, so long as it doesn't leak I will be happy lol. That's a good price but I am UK so paid a fair bit more than that as we always have to with PC stuff.

That's a good score Solar with your CPU. A 6 or 8 core CPU really has an advantage in the 3D Mark benchmarks but it depends how far you are willing to go to get better scores.

Sorry Doug, I can't update the leaderboard with Solars new score, I am on my Windows 7 install for the last few days until the big switch to 10 so don't have access to the boards like I did before. Maybe I can but I don't know how so I will leave it.
