Browser help

    Browser help


    i have win 7 starter on one of my comps and i used ie8 for a while but it freezes time to time same with mozilla firefox but google chrome only freezes a little bit

    any ideas for a browser that would not freeze at all

    What do mean by freeze exactly? Some people use the term differently. I don't think any of those should crash or become unresponsive during normal use. We might be able help you fix the issue, then you can use which ever of the three you prefer.

    it doesnt respond for a couple of seconds time after time

    wen iam using any of the browsers the cpu goes up to 15% and thats it but google chrome the cpu goes to 10% And its the fastest browser ive met

    What netbook do you have? I'd like to look at the specs of it. Depending on your RAM and CPU, occasional hang-ups might be expected.

    sorry about the cpu i gave u it was because update speed on task manger was on low

    anyway my specs

    HP Pavilion a309.uk
    Windows 7 Starter (Build 7600)
    Intel Celeron CPU 2.40Ghz
    256MB RAM
    Intel 82845 Graphics Controller

    But my ram usage stays around 70% All the time

    Your RAM is way to low. Microsoft recommends 1GB for win7 but starter will run fine on 512MB (0.5GB). With that little RAM even a web breowser by it self will cause the system to lag. DDR2 laptop RAM isn't very expensive and you can buy at stores like bestbuy or radio shack.
