    Some websites incorrectly formated

    Hey -

I'm posting this on behalf of a friend as he doesn't have an account here.

Here is a screenshot of the problem in IE8.0.6. Here is the proper site for comparison.

As you can see from the screenshot, the site is not correctly formatted. Tables are misaligned and text is not how it should appear. For some reason there is also a Barclays bank logo background, but my friend says he doesn't have any of their programs installed.

Apparently this only happens on certain sites like TF2.com and TribalWars.co.uk, while others like Facebook and YouTube work fine.

Although the screenshot says the page is zoomed in 105%, when zooming to to 100% the problem is still occuring.

The problem also still occurs in IE no add-ons mode and in the latest version of Firefox.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

Is it repeatable? does the site always look wrong?

    What firewall, and antivirus?

    Whats the network setup?

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes, it always looks wrong. I'm told it loads up as it should look but then switches to the wrong layout almost instantaneously.

Using the built-in Windows Firewall. Virus protection is McAfee.

The computer is plugged into the router. I assume this is what you mean by network setup?

As tired as this is, also try clearing cache and cookies before the full reset.

    Yes, neither works.

Remember, it happens in Firefox too. Not just IE. So it isn't a browser problem.

So this is just happening to your friend and not you correct? Have your friend create another account on his PC and login as that new user and see if the problem is still there.

    Correct.

He made a new user account and the internet works fine. So it must just be his account.

    Thanks.
