Windows 7 hides files from Outlook

Hope someone can help. I am running W7 64 bit Home edition and Outlook 2003. Just started using Outlook and I am trying to figure out how I can find my pictures to attach to an email. When I click on Attach in Outlook the box that opens does not show the Libraries and I can't find my Picture files. I dont have this problem using web mail or Eudora just in Outlook.

I've tried opening the Picture folder in My Computer and right clicking to send email but it then wants me to log into Windows Live which I don't use.

I do not want to insert pictures in my email just attach - but how do I find them
    Thanks
    Pat

You might be better off posting a screenshot of your Outlook's File Open box. By default, it will point to the Libraries, so you may have to manually find the folder in which your pictures are stored.

As for the Send to email....that problem is due to the fact you don't have Outlook 2003 set as your default mail app. It should prompt you with this whenever you open Outlook.

Well you are using Outlook 2003...the reason is in the name.
Windows 7 came out in 2009/2010.

Outlook 2003 has no "concept" of Libraries.

I would be surprised if it couldn't use the Libraries, but it is some old software. You're missing out on the benefits of the ribbon! Yes, I'm being serious...I love the UI change.

I don't have Outlook 2003 on my computer but I have Office 2003 which I assume is similar. In Word, for instance, I cannot locate files in the Libraries either. Libraries are actually just a mechanism that can point to several locations so all you need to do is to navigate to the actual location. For "My Pictures", when the File Open dialogue box comes up, navigate to C:\users\[user]\My Pictures. Once there you should be able to select a picture to attach.

I use Outlook 2003, up in the header you'll see file, view, moving to the right see Insert which has a drop down, go to pictures / files it opens My Pic's highlite the one's you want and insert:)
