    Outlook Express to Outlook?

Why is it, when they're both from Microsoft, is it so difficult to import mail and addresses from Express into Outlook?????
I've just migrated to a new super duper computer running Win 7.
Imagine my dismay when I found out I had to start using the clunky Outlook instead!!!
Can anybody tell me the best, (and easiest for a silver surfer), way to get around this seemingly anomily???

Unless you are joined at the hip to Microsoft for some reason, there are several other mail options that work.

Thunderbird works fine on Windows 7 and the interface is reminiscent of OE.

Mail import/export programs remain in the dark ages, just like bookmark management. Few improvements in the last 10 years and I'm not sure why.

Haven't tried Live mail yet, I suppose that's the next avenue to explore?

Thank you Dirt Rider. Sadly, that's if Express and Outlook are on the same comp.... I'm upgrading to a new one. Just soooo frustrating!!!
