How to Disable DOM Storage "Cookies"

If you are a privacy fanatic, you may want to disable DOM Storage. I provided a bit of information about DOM Storage as well as the instructions to disable in IE8 and Firefox in How to Disable DOM Storage "Cookies".

I use FF and use an add-on called Better Privacy which has an option to clear the DOM Storage file and LSO's (Flash cookies) on exit. I would assume there is a good use for DOM Storage from a legit site but clearing them is still a good thing. Does disabling them cause a problem or should I just continue using Better Privacy add-on?

I've only had DOM Storage disabled since yesterday. Since I don't do "off line" work or have unusual programs installed, I don't expect any problems. With Better Privacy, you should be fine. Of course that is only for Firefox. If you use IE8 as well, you may want to consider disabling there.
