    Win 7, Silverlight, and Firefox

Auto update is offering an optional Silverlight update in tonight's package. I currently don't have Silverlight installed, but the update will install it and the update as well.

Are there any known issues/conflicts between Silverlight and Firefox (my primary browser)? Is Silverlight worth installing?

Silverlight, especially in the last year, has become more and more common. It's turning up on a lot more sites than it used to. I'm not aware of any issues with Firefox and Silverlight. Test it out here. Version 2 (2.0.40115.0) is the latest. Ignore any word of Silverlight 3, it's early beta.

    Thanks Cap'n.

I installed it. I suppose I'll find out if it conflicts with anything else over the next few days.

They also offered Live Messenger, so I installed that too. I think I'm going to regret that... it's been five minutes and its already acting like a pest. Sigh. Live and learn.

I've had no conflicts with Silverlight and FF.

Screw Live Messenger, Pidgin works perfectly fine.

Every time I minimize a window, any window, Live Messenger pops up from the task bar. Oh joy! That's so helpful!
