    Firefox


    How well does firefox intergrate in Windows 7?

    And even better if you backed up your Firefox profile from the previous install. then it is just a matter of installing Firefox and putting your profile back in the proper location (Users\Your Name\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla, easier if you backed up the Mozilla folder). Then when you open Firefox for the first time on the new install all your bookmarks and extensions are there.

    Better still, place all your Mozilla profiles on a separate partition/disk, then if you need to reinstall, just install fx/tb etc. in custom mode and point to the appropriate location of your profiles.

    Firefox works with Windows 7 without any problems but as of yet it does not really integrate with the OS in the way for example that IE8 does.

    This type of integration will I'm certain be forthcoming in time and I believe that there is an external app available already that adds functions to the jump list menu.

    I think thats largely down to firefox's herritage as originating on another OS.
