IE 8 Send Link by Email...

Here's what's been happening. When I send links from IE 8 using the following method,

    File
    Send
    Link by Email...

this opens Windows Live Mail, with the formatted link already in the message. Never had a problem before, but lately, the message is not being formatted as a link, but plain text only. I checked my settings for Live Mail, and am using HTML.

    Any insights anyone?

    Thanks
    Jerry

Lets see if it is IE
    IE>tools.internet options>advanced>reset
    Any better.
Before you take my advice, you are removing the addons, but they are very easy to replace.

    Nope

    Hi Richc46,

Thanks for your reply. I reset IE, but it's still doing the same thing.

    Hi Jerry
As a test try another browser. If that does not work, I am getting the tutorial on an SFC scan, that may help.
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

In WLM under the tools>options>send It is set for HTML?

    WLM

Yes, WLM is set to send as HTML.

I don't have another browser so that I can check the send link by email...

Are you using the WLM 2011 Beta?
Some of it's features don't work...
Perhaps HTML is one, I don't know for sure, as I don't use HTML.

    Beta

Yes, I am. I never thought of that. Tomorrow, I will install the previous version of WLM to see if that's the cause.

Thanks for your help---the both of you.

    dnorris,

Thank you! The culprit was WLM Beta. I uninstalled it and installed the 2009 version.
