IE8,Chrome,and Firefox won't open web pages

    Hello,

I think my machine is in a bit of a trouble and I ran out of ideas how to fix it so I thought someone here might help me out.

I am running Windows 7 pro.

So I got a trojan malware thing from a website last night, i don't know how because Avast is running all the time. I booted in safe mode, ran Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware software and it got rid of it, or at least I think it did because now my pc is running fine and all those POP UPS (your computer is under attack of virus, run antivirus software, etc) from the malware are all gone. After that I ran the Avast antivirus scan on my C: drive and it didn't find anything.

None of the browsers are working, expect Opera USB (Opera@USB : download your free version of mobile Opera:) which doesn't require installation and it just runs of the HD. The other browsers won't open any web page. Skype, utorrent

I uninstalled and installed all of them several times, and nothing. I uninstalled my wireless adapted, thinking that it might be the settings and that will reset everything, and that didn't work either, i ran CC clean, which deleted all the cookies and web history from Chrome, IE, and firefox... nothing. Now even tweetdeck won't run properly.

    What should I do ?

First off 3rd party programs like tweetdeck most likely will cause more problems than there worth. Utorrunt is a very good way to get all those bad things you had on your computer. I don't recommend using a torrent of any kind. Next because you can go on line with Opera download and install Super Anti Spyware, up date it and run. Also run again MAM in normal mode. Next open I.E. and go to Tools/options/connection and Lan setting. Make sure automatic detect setting is checked and the Lan is unchecked. If for what ever reason none of your browsers work there is another way we can go.
After all this get back to us Because there is more information.

Try the 64 bit version of IE on your system. See if that works. A Guy

Boot into safe mode and run malwarebytes and virus scanner again.

Your welcome. Be sure to keep up to date on your security programs. Torrents very well might get you again.

Another question about browsers that won't boot...

I just built a new machine and was/am in the process of loading all my software. 1st software loaded was System Mechanic Pro 10.

About 4 days after 1st boot Chrome starts to open but hangs and never a 440 or any other message-just stays hung.
Then Firefox quit opening. Just about a 5 sec "hour-glass" then nothing.

I can't believe I'm saying this..... but thank goodness ie is still working!
I'm using ie that installed w/ Windows 7 Pro 64bit
I have deleted and reinstalled both browsers twice. I uninstalled SMPro just in case, but no difference. Never use "social" software like torrents.

    any ideas or a redirect?

    Thanks in advance!
