IE9 -- I WANT my MENU screen back -edit, favorites , etc etc) Hi there
Took me about 5 mins to sat to HELL with IE9
Why cant I get my MENU bar back (Favourites, edit, cut, paste etc etc).
Don't Software DEVELOPERS EVER TEST stuff before releasing a product.
I've restored my image -- I WANT my old menu back --it's GONE in IE9 and doesn't seem to have a way of making it work.
Cheers

jimbo, it's like you're NOT a gold member, nor a guru... There already are solutions to this, Brink even posted a tutorial about the menu bar. Seriously, look around first before posting a topic. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...ar-always.html

Hi there
I TRIED this and IT DOESN'T work -- I don't post without trying something first --c'mon guys I've been around long enough not to post B/S and actually the Forum DOES say Gold member too.
This is what I need from IE8 and IE9 doesn't give it to me at all even following Brinks tutorial.
Cheers

Hi all
The 32 Bit version works just fine -- don't know what's up with the 64 bit version.
(I'm on Windows 7 X-64 Enterprise).
I'm going to do a Windows 7 re-install in any case this weekend -- now need to use Windows 7 PRO rather than the Windows 7 Enterprise I've been messing about with so I'll give it another go.
Cheers

For the record, the tutorial provided in this thread did not work for me either. I could only however try the registry hack though as I am running Home Premium which does not include a local group policy editor.
Jimbo, its a beta for a reason. There will always be bugs and my guess is that this is a bug (not being able to keep the menu bar all the time). | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom | Whitebox OS Windows 7 Ultimate, OS X 10.7, Ubuntu 11.04 CPU Intel E6750 @ 3.80GHz Motherboard Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3L (Revision 1.1) Memory 2x2GB & 2x1GB (6GB) OCZ Reaper 1066MHz @ 1080MHz Graphics Card EVGA nVidia GTX 260 896mb (216 Core) FTW Edition Sound Card Realtek ALC888 Monitor(s) Displays 21" VIZIO TV Screen Resolution 1680x1050 @ 60Hz Keyboard Logitech Wireless S520 Mouse Logitech Wireless S520 - Microsoft Wireless Arc Mouse PSU Corsair 750W Case NZXT Nemesis Elite Cooling Thermaltake SpinQ Hard Drives Western Digital WD6401AALS - 640GB

I just tested the tutorial in the link below with the IE9 Beta 32-bit download in virtual machines of Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit and Home Premium 32-bit, and the tutorial works just fine to always have the Menu bar on in IE9 beta in those Windows 7 editions. The tutorial itself was originally tested in Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 beta 64-bit.
I'm not sure why it didn't work for you. Are you on a domain, or have any other out of the normal setup? http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...ar-always.html

Nothing out of the ordinary. It doesn't bother me personally as I rarely need the menu bar, but still.
I am using 64-bit though, thats about it.
