    Hi

How do I get downloads in IE9 to give me an option of where to store downloaded files?

    thanks

Click the gear icon -> View Downloads

Click on Options then browse to a new location you wish to download your files.

Once you set this, you still have more options when you download anything. If you just click on save it will donwload to the default folder. If, however, you click on the arrow next to save and choose Save as, you can change the download folder again for only that one particular download.

    Hi

thanks for your help, that let me know my options and how to choose the folder for the downloaded file.

FYI, when I chose "View Downloads" IE9 Beta (32) froze, I waited five minutes,
then I had to use task manager to close it, I rebooted and now it will not open, I get the box asking if it should be closed or look for a solution and close.
Looking for a solution found nothing.

I am now using IE9 Beta 64 but that keeps wanting to install Adobe Flash.

    Cheers

    Hello Daniel,

You might see if using the Adobe Labs - Adobe Flash Player Square for 64-bit browsers may help with that.

    Hope this helps,

For me in IE 9 64 bit nothing happens when I select "view downloads" from the tools menu. In IE 9 32 bit it crashed the browser with a not responding message?

That is what happens with me, but I can live with it, 64bit is working well except for the "view Downloads" issue.

    Cheers
