Using foreign symbols in message rules

I've had few problems adjusting to WLM other than stationary for graphics groups, which I've managed to workaround. My issue right now is that I have a need to use a message rule on a person whose "From" address includes foreign language characters. I cannot figure out how to get this accomplished for the rule. I attempted to copy from contact list and from email, but the email address is what is copied and that doesn't appear in the "from" container for the message rules. Any idea how I might get this functioning???

Okay, so I figured it out on my own...well at least a work-around. I found that if I click on the "From" on the email header, right click, go to properties, then in properties copy the name....I can then go into create (or modify) the message rule with all the correct format and characters....woohoo

Why not use the email address? If you add the person as a contact first it should appear within the "contacts" button choices. Maybe I'm confused...are you saying that only if there are foreign language characters in the contact list it won't appear under the message rules "contact" button? Alternatively, you may be able to type some part of the from field in the box at the top that doesn't have special characters. Maybe that would be enough to identify the person.
