How to suppress "Set up Windows Internet Explorer 8" start popup?

After setting up Win7 my Internet Explorer start sometimes with a
"Set up Windows Internet Explorer 8" (see attached snapshot).

The user has only the choice between two buttons: NEXT and ASK ME LATER.
But I miss a button "Don't display this dialog again"

How can I permanently suppress/disable this popup?

Try pressing next and then deselect all the defaults if you are using another browser, make it the default browser,

Default Programs - Set a Program's Default Associations

If you don't want to see it at all you could turn it off in features,

Windows Features - Turn On or Off

You just need to disable the first run settings. You can do it in the registry or via group policy editor. This page explains all the methods.

Seems like it would be just as fast and easier to simply type in your perferences, after that it won't show up again. IE9 has a faster method to fill out the perferences.
