    Gmail SPAM?

What's happening to my Gmail account? Long time user of Gmail and can't recall getting SPAM email before. Usually that crap goes right into the SPAM folder which gets deleted automatically.

Yesterday and today in my Inbox I got about 20 SPAM emails? Don't know why? The only thing I've done differently is post something in the How-to Geek Forums. My email isn't displayed? So heart broken, if this continues.. by, by Gmail and Hello to MSN.

MSN mail is spammy too, besides being blinky.

Only my Yahoo never lets a single one into my Inbox. I'm amazed.

Google has a growing number of issues. I dont' trust them with my personal privacy any more, even if they do hold all of the world's knowledge. Best to keep signed out of anything Google when you do your daily searches. Otherwise you'll start noticing display ads in webpages for things you've searched.

I had Yahoo back in middle school and high school, it was horrible, like 100 emails of junk mail everyday. I think back in my senior year I changed or in college who knows.

Well, I signed up for MSN, it was a nightmare entering in the BOT code, CRAP, I thought I was a bot for a second. Just kept getting them wrong. LOL

I'm in total agreement on this! I have Gmail and Yahoo. With Yahoo I have yet to get my first spam. With Gmail, it's a daily check to see how much I get. It may not be the case but somehow I feel Google is partly to blame. I now rarely use Google for searching and haven't for about seven months. The spam and trash filters of Gmail are starting to slow down some.

I guess I could go back to Yahoo its been so long and I love Google search.

Will see how things go with Yahoo Email and Yahoo Search. I like to keep things all together.

Hotmail did this to me for a time (about two to three days). I reported it via Hotmail's link to report junk and spam and once I did, the spam stopped about 3 days after that and I haven't really received any since and any that I do receive goes straight to my junk e-mail. I figure this may have just been a spat with Gmail that will stop soon if you report it to them.

I have used a lot of email services and Gmail is the best I have used, just stick with it and it will sort itself out.
Make sure you mark them as spam and not just delete them in your inbox
