I so depend on it to be honest. I do not have to save anything. It is such a shame. I am glad Firefox 4 comes with SYNC. The best part of XMarks is the password sync. Of course, I do not save important stuff but for other websites like forums, it is very handy :)
Its not really surprising since more and more browsers are having bookmark syncing included now.
I was rather dissapointed at the news today after xmarks updated itself.
i have installed Foxsync but i dont know how well it will perfom yet . i did like the feeling of security xmarks gave me and was very handy when clean install was the only option left.
What i would like to know is, if there is a way to save my bookmarks on an external hdd and update it regularly and manually and be able to reload them when in emergency?
google docs keeps your bookmarks in a handy folder automatic each time you create one, so you dont have to keep syncing the chrome browsers all the time, you just sign in google docs using any browser your not chained to just chrome :)
when you sync your google account on the chrome browser every time you make a bookmark it gets saved in google docs, so when you are in firefox if you open your google docs via log in gmail and click documents you can find what bookmark you want to open and firefox should open it in the browser for you same as any browser you have google docs open in.:)
