    Safari for Windows

Does anybody use it? If so, what do you think of it?
What do you like and dislike about it? Be specific!

I downloaded it tonight and am testing it out.
I think it's nice. It hardly uses any memory, surprisingly, yet it's as fast as Google Chrome. The only downside to it is I can't download add-ons for it.

I will admit that I am mostly using it to feed into my mac-theme that I have going on right now. But who knows, perhaps the more I use it, the more I'll like it?

I have been using Safari from the day v4 came out till the day it was replaced by Safari 5.
v4 just looks and works beautifully, aside from the fact that there were no add-ons and stuff, unlike the latest v5.

But I find Safari 5 clunky and slow until I cache the websites that I use frequently, and even then the speed can only be compared to Google Chrome without the cache set up. v5 has some useful add-ons, but it only slows the browser further, especially on first start-up (i.e. after turning on your PC).

It is not great, but it is not bad either. IMHO it is the golden-middle.

If you want an older version of Safari to test against the latest, this is your link

Thanks! I'll check it out in a few days after testing this one.

I am sure that you'll fall in love with Top Sites; no browser can compare to how gorgeous this feature works

Erm, I already hate it. I have the Speed Dial installed for Google Chrome... can't beat that :)

I've used Safari in the past and only kept it on my system for one day. The biggest issue for me was that you can't change the search providers in the search bar - you're limited to only Google and Yahoo I think and I use Wikipedia on the search bar A LOT in other browsers.

    @ Benjamin

True, that search engines annoyance was not corrected in v5, but I think that there might be an extension on the Apple website to add it... Haven't checked it out, really, as I simply just bookmark Wikipedia =)

I haven't met a Mac person yet who even uses Safari, much less a Windows person, so why even consider it? With IE, Firefox, Chrom, and Opera, you have plenty of other choices.

@DeaconFrost: Yeah, I'm unsure of why anybody would be using Safari on a Windows platform. At one point ,that browser was massively unsecure.
