I'm running the Oct. 25 nightly build. The zip file seems to work great. I tried Chromium 8.x mini installer and it wasn't smooth. But so far I've tried the win32 zip file with 4 or 5 nightly builds and had no problems. I just save my local\Chromium folder in case I need to back off to a previous build.

I like this much better than silent updates. Too much chance of favicons being hosed or extensions being messed up using that. With this zipped up folder it's very easy to back off to an older working version.

I don't get the way some of these software producers respond to user input. I mean, you can't get them to bookmark the current page using Control-D.

With Splash Lite video player, you can't get them to allow the user to change the background color. The background is black and the controls are black with navy blue highlights. It's almost like they are saying if you still run a CRT monitor then we're out to get you!!(The only way you can find a control is mouse over until you chance upon it.) I mean, whatever the programming language changing the brush for the background color, at least on Windows, has to be one or two lines of code. I don't know how much it would take to implement Control-D bookmark, but it's like a standard for browsers. Leaving it out is bizarre.
