    Windows Live Mail 2011

After installing Live Mail 2011 I began receiving the following error message:

"The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that could not be verified. The certificate's CN name does not match the passed value."

Is it just a coincidence that the message appeared after installing Mail 2011?
    Please help. Thanks.

Go to the account set up for the account that is having problems and check that the settings correspond to the email provider's instructions for setting up their service.

I looked at the AT&T email properties dialog box. The
    Servers screen shows the following:
    Outgoing Mail Server
    My server requires authentication
Should I unselect "My server requires authentication"?

I looked at the AT&T email properties dialog box. Under "Outgoing Mail Server" I had selected "My server requires authentication". Should I unselect this? I worked OK before.

I have had 2011 for weeks now and got that message a few days ago for the first time on my AT&T account. I just said go ahead and have not gotten it again. I think it was a timing coincidence for you, and as far as I can see there are no issues with just accepting it and going on. Around the same time I had problems accessing my account at all, the server was rejecting the connection, so I think AT&T was having several email issues at that time.
