no - it's the way the forum (and the whole internet and wordprocessors) works.

if you want to make posts, you'll have to learn to live with markup.

By now I'm convinced, Miles Davis has nailed it.

You can not make it disappear, but you could do the next best thing:

Nobody forces you to use those mark up buttons in your editor.

So no more bold words or inverse texts and certanily no more underlining.
Just plain text.

Or even better: If it bothers you so much there is one more thing you could do:
trash Chrome and use IE, Firefox, Opera and what else there is in the browser world.

Ummm... Opera also does this.
But Firefox and IE dont.

Are you 100 percent sure I cant disable this?

ok BDani - you win.

if you don't like the tags, either:

1 - keep using chrome, but don't bold, italicise nor underline your text.

2 - use ie or firefox when visiting this forum if it bothers you so much

3 - there are other options, but i've given you two so far.

it could be worse.

some of us have to make sense out of this:

Hey BDani,

No, there's nothing weird with Google Chrome. The forum's message editor interface is just set to the default setting (basic/HTML), and not to the full/enhanced WYSIWYG setting.

In creating a thread or posting a reply, click on this button: right above the smileys. It will switch your message editor from HTML to full WYSIWYG. Another method is through the forum options in your UserCP. Click "UserCP", and under "Settings and Options" on the left panel, click "Edit Options". Scroll down until you see the "Miscellaneous Options" box. Under "Message Editor Interface", from the drop-down box, choose "Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing". Click on "Save Changes".

I hope this helps.
