What is the secret way to FIND the IE search window?

The way I know to access FIND in IE is:

    1. Open Internet Explorer.
    2. Press CTRL+F.

That's a problem for me because I run a software application that requires the use of CTRL+F. I have to turn this application off to use FIND. I cannot reconfigure the CTRL+F to some other key in this application.

Windows 7 is MY idea but IE was someone else's (JK). Does anyone have a way to force IE to open with the FIND toolbar showing, so that the page search is always available?

Just go to Settings (the picture of a gear) > File > Find on this page. It doesn't take much longer to do so.

Sorry, using IE9 Beta. Give me a sec and I'll tell how to do it in IE8.

Find is located in the edit menu. Unfortunately I'm not sure exactly where that is located, possible under tools as well.

The search box in upper right corner of IE8 has a drop down arrow. One choice is "Find on this page". I think you onen it once and it stays open but only until you close IE.
