IE9b seems to be slower than FF4
    You seem surprised ?
With all that advertizing MS did to claim IE9 was the 'fastest of all browsers' it is still slower

Don't forget that IE9 is still in the Beta phase of its development and, as such, will not be fully optimised. A truer result will be obtained with the final release.

IE9 should be great if MS doesn't add a bunch of "accelerators"... which do just the opposite.

You can turn on and off the accelerator (about:config). Be interesting to benchmark. Any volunteers?

At least if Chrome crashes it only crashes the tab not the entire app and that is infrequent even on the beta.

FF is actually kind of fun to use the when the system you're on has more physical memory than the average laptop HDD did about 4 years ago

Charts should give you rough estimate. Not perfect or accurate but it's based on some tests not just a paradox or prophecy. Actually I'm FF fanboy and hope Firefox can still be faster than the current one, also more memory friendly. A hope is a hope, though.
