Windows Live Messenger Send File

Hey guys

I'm not really sure if this is the right place to post my question but.....

I just updated to Windows Live Messenger 2011, and for some reason when I send/receive files through messenger in a convo, all I see is a white box. With previous versions I'd actually see a thumbnail or icon of whatever the person is sending, but now its just a white box. Anyone know whats going on here?
