My favorite is Opera its fast & has lots of features , mouse gestures.,notes ,Opera mail, Panels, movable Toolbars , Opera Turbo etc already integrated into the browser.
It has much smoother scrolling & zooming than the other browsers.

I advise you try to them all by downloading the Portable versions.
Install them to a folder on your hard drive no changes are made to your registry & if you don't like them all you have to do is delete the Folder.

    Opera 10.63
Opera@USB : download your free version of mobile Opera:

    Chrome 7.0.517.44
Google Chrome Portable | PortableApps.com - Portable software for USB drives

    Firefox 3.6.12
Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition | PortableApps.com - Portable software for USB drives

    ................................................................
IE9 is not a portable & if you install it it will remove IE 8 . If you don't like it & want IE8 back you just have to remove IE 9 you can never accuse Microsoft of letting you know helpful info like that up front.
I have no idea if it preserves your settings, bookkmarks or not.
Its quite a good browser & has some interesting features.

When it comes to speed Opera makes the best showing of all the browsers benchmarked at Peacekeeper...

Hmm, how come then that minne is such a slowpoke. Much slower than IE and Chrome that I also use. Only the AOL browser is slower.

WHS- I also used the default settings when I first ran Opera and its performance was no better than FF, but when I increased the connections settings Opera it nearly tripled its download bandwidth speed according to Bandwidth Meter Pro. You can also opt out of sending referrer information to the web sites you visit if you prefer.

It is not the download speed with which I have a problem. It is the access to webpages - takes forever.

I have Opera's memory cache turned off and it still accesses and downloads webpages 2-3 times faster than FF with the ISP I use.
