    Mail essentials desktop. PLEASE HELP!!


    Running windows 7 64 bit. I upgraded to live essential from live mail. Everything was going fine. Had some computer glitches and my techie fixed them and everything was running fine. When I opened mail essentials, all my email messages, folders etc. where there. My contacts disappeard and when I tried to view my messages I would get an error that mail could not open my messages. I even was sending & receiving emails with no problem. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck. I am back to live mail but I really miss the essentials! I hope someone can help

    I'm confused.
    Windows Live Mail is one part of Windows Live Essentials.
    Are you saying you went from WLMail 2010 to 2011?

    That is correct. Went for the update when offered

    You could try a repair install. Go to Programs and Features>>Windows Live Essentials and select the change/repair option. It should repair all the installed components of Essentials, including Mail.

    Tried that already. When I go back to pre 20011 live mail I have no issues
