    Chrome has no graphics

Chrome was working great when suddenly it lost all the graphics - all I get now is an empty black frame with a cracked mini icon - this issue affects other Google sites like blogspot

When I use FFox or IE, the graphics are fine

I uninstalled, reinstalled Chrome, did a restore but to no avail. I have a lean machine, no games, movies, just Word iTunes, 8G RAM

Can anybody suggest a solution? I do/did like Chrome

    thanks reasoner

Do you have a firewall or AV blocking it from re-installing?
Try disabling those and try a new install of Chrome!

What version of chrome do you have
and did you install any extensions before that happened ?

Did you try to clear the cache ?
    1. Click the Tools menu. (the wrench in the upper-right corner)
    2. Select Options.
    3. Click the Under the Hood tab.
    4. Click Clear browsing data…
    5. Check the boxes for the types of information you wish to delete.

    • Clear browsing history
    • Clear download history
    • Empty the cache
    • Delete cookies

    Thanks for the help

I've done all the suggested but nothing has changed.

Opera, FFox, IE all run fine and fast, (Opera is amazingly fast), Chrome runs fine, but has no graphics. All browsers are up to date. All software update to date.

You said you re installed and the firewall doesn't block it...it does connect ok, just no graphics
Did you install any 'Skin/Persona or whatever that's called in chrome?
If so, try another one ore go back to the default one

    One more:

    Go to C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application
and delete the 0kb file named First Run
if that doesn't help, I'm all out of ideas

    You're very welcome
Glad that's sorted out...it would have been faster, if you told us about the skin tho
