Email will not send messages in outbox

I'm running windows 7 and use Windows Live mail. Suddenly, when I try and send an email, it goes to my outbox but will not be sent. I get an error msg and when I click on the Task tab, I see all my emails I've attempted to send with a message that sending failed. I can receive incoming just fine. Any ideas?

Sometimes a single file with a problem can "clog" the outbox. Try removing the oldest and then resend the rest.

Thanks ZigZag. My wife had tried to email a pic from Picasa to someone and once I removed that particular one, all the other were sent. Many thanks for you help. Have a safe and prosperous New Year !

I had a similar problem. By contacting SkyDrive I learned that my account had been suspended. I had sent a picture (photo mail) that they weren't too happy about. As you know, the pictures sent on Live Mail stay on a server somewhere for up to 3 months.

You might want to check with Sky Drive. All other emails would send fine except for the photo emails!!!!!

So, I have been using Outlook 2010 with Exchange and a number of POP accounts. It is not unusual for me to change the FROM account to pick a different email address to show as the sender. HOWEVER, I recently changed my gmail accounts from POP to IMAP and now, when I try to send as any of them,...

Messages Stuck In Outbox (Non-Cached Mode + Delegated Mailbox)
If a user has their Outlook profile set to NOT use Cached Exchange Mode, and attempts to send an email from a mailbox they've been delegated access to, the message ends up "stuck" (for a lack of a better term) in the user's own Outbox and never leaves the Outbox, or moves to the Sent folder. We...

Reply to email stuck in Outbox
I am using Outlook 2007. I am trying to send a reply to an email but everytime I click send it goes to the Outbox. I can not re-send from the Outbox and I have moved it to the Drafts Folder but if I re-send from there it goes back to the Outbox. I have looked in Help but can't see anything. There...
