Internet Explorer 9 Release Candidate (RC) due on January 28

Microsoft is planning to reveal its near-final version of Internet Explorer 9 on January 28.

Microsoft officials have been hard at work on the company’s next generation browser since its release in September 2010. LiveSide suggests that the software giant is planning to unveil the Release Candidate (RC) build to the public on January 28. The information fits with tips that WinRumors has received that the software maker is aiming to distribute the RC build in late January.

Let's hope they fix everything thats wrong with it. Because I tried the beta....that was a complete joke. Just pure comedy.

I'm using the beta now with no more problems than I'd expect from a beta. I'm looking forward to the RC.

    Which version did you try?
    Official beta, leaked beta, both?

I agree that it's been rough at times, but I like the direction MS is going with it.

Official Beta and it works pretty good, i hope they release the RC the 28 as they said but you never know, but i hope they make the IE9 much more faster then Firefox and Google Chrome, so even if i play online games it will not make my laptop worm or work to much in CPU.

    all luck

Also of note is I've heard that the bing team might be planning a release of the new HTML5 version of their site along side of the RC. Fingers crossed!!
