Firefox 4.0 Beta 9 Drops Next Week
Mozilla is gearing up to release the ninth Beta of the next iteration of its open source browser.
According to the open source browser maker, the current plan is to have Firefox 4.0 offered to testers next week.
Following a range of delays which impacted the Firefox 4.0 project, the Beta 9 development milestone was pushed into early 2011.
The upcoming test release of the open source browser is intended as a date-driven Beta, and Mozilla hopes to have it right this time around.
The browser maker wants to code freeze today, January 7th, 2010, and then produce the first Builds as early as Monday January 10th.

Yeah it does seem to be faster than before. I don't know if I'm willing to switch from Chrome, however.

Currently using the Minefield builds, just updated to the latest build today & I'm really glad the option for tabs on top have finally made it now
Could be going back to Firefox full time from using Chrome if they keep up the good work, one of the main reasons I switched to Chrome was the look of FF4 but lately it's really started to grow on me, possibly the only thing holding me back now is the Sync option, I just don't find it as good and easy to use as the one in Google Chrome.

The 64 bit minefield b9pre is very stable on my computer, an improvement over the prior minefield pre version I tried :) Mozilla are really working the kinks out quickly. Hopefully this and the other coming versions keep on improving/adding.

Speaking of "Tabs on top" :
I've got a great .css customization and I love it! :)

Anyone come across this site before? Bugs In Firefox 4
NOTE: Use FF4 to see it best, Chrome 8 & IE9 didn't fully load everything, well on my system they didn't seem to anyway?
I thought it was kinda cool to read & look at :)

Really? I do hope so.
Last time I installed FF4b8, the browser immediately crashed upon startup, lol.
I reopened it and tried to resize the window and move it around to an appropriate position on my desktop, but... Both of my CPU cores jumped to 100% as soon as I started this, and finally FF froze, then crashed...
Start Menu-> Revo Uninstaller -> FF; thank you very much.
