| Windows 7: Trying to get Windows Live Mail (Only) |

Trying to get Windows Live Mail (Only) When I go to the Windows 7 Live Essentials I am having difficulty getting only the WLM out of the Essentials package.
I deselect all other programs and have WLM highlighted. But when I click on install I see that Windows is installing ALL of the Essentials programs. So I cancel the downloads.
All I want is Windows Live Mail.
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you,

Hmmmm, it works for me too, Tegiro. I just installed just the Windows Live Mail, uninstalled it, and then went back and just installed the Windows Live Mail + Messenger. Both downloads worked fine, so I'm wondering if there is something on your system that is conflicting with the download - and preventing it from working properly.
Another possible solution concerns the source of the download. Sometimes you get a better result from a download from a different provider. From whom are you downloading the software? And, can you get it elsewhere? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP Pavillion dv5t (generation 1) OS Vista 64 bit and 32 bit (SP2) CPU Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor T9400 (2.53 GHz Memory 4GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm) Graphics Card 512 MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT Monitor(s) Displays 15.4" diagonal WSXGA+ High-Definition HP BrightView Widescre Screen Resolution 1680 x 1050 Keyboard Built-in HP Mouse Built in - Synaptics TouchPad V6.5 on PS/2 Port Hard Drives 320GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection Internet Speed Max Other Info ~ Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N Mini-card w/Bluetooth ~ Blu-Ray ROM DVD+/-R/RW ~ Integ. Tegiro What did you do to fix it? Hi Johnathan,
With all the new features in Win 7 and WLM I really don't know what I did. But when I clicked on the Start icon and and clicked on "All Programs" I scrolled down to the bottom of the listing & saw Windows Live. In there were all the programs.
I guess the dealer that sold me the system already had it al there. Stupid of me to not know it. Live and learn I guess, especially with this new OS.
