    IE8 + Win7

    Hello,

Strange problem occurred when we migrated to Win7. Our company uses various services from banks and here lies the problem. When connecting to the https page of the one Bank eg. 2 of 5 times it will open https login screen and the other 3 times it will not open. This Bank provides installation instruction, all the needed software and all of the certificates needed for using that secured web page. Note: Everything is installed according to the installation instructions. I have tested this https on WinXp with IE7 and IE8 and its running smoothly with no problems. I've noticed that this error appears when IE8 won't open the page(attachment). Maybe it's has some connection with it, maybe not. Did anybody encounter similar problem and has the solution why sometimes IE8 won't open that page. Much appreciate.

You might try adding the website to the list under Tools/Compatibility View Settings.

I didn't realize banks provided software. You said "This Bank provides installation instruction, all the needed software and all of the certificates..." and that it works in XP. When you install the software in Windows 7 the installation (*.exe) file's properties should first be modified with a check mark next to "run in compatibility mode for Windows XP..." unless the bank specifically provides software for Windows 7.

The software that bank provides includes two certificates and drivers for the card reader. I believe only relevant for this page to open correctly are those two certificates but they are installed according to the install instructions, and yes the bank provided software specifically for win7. I forwarded this problem to our group in charge of our infrastructure where i believe is the problem. Still if anybody had a similar problem i would gladly read the solution, and when hopefully our infrastr. team finds a solution to the problem I will post it. Thanks
