    Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) Release Candidate (RC) on February 10, 2011



    Microsoft is reportedly gearing up to launch the Release Candidate of Internet Explorer 9 on February 10, 2011.

    The Redmond company has yet to confirm this officially, but members of the press (via Ed Bott) were already sent invites to an event in San Francisco, which conspicuously points to the imminent availability of IE9 RC.

    According to the invites, the event will involve members of the Internet Explorer team, special guests as well as “some important news.”

    The last time that the software giant held an Internet Explorer event in San Francisco it was September 15th, 2010, and they launched IE9 Beta.

    Well look on the bright side... we always knew something about RC will happen on 28th :) but on serious note, it was planned for today, but delayed...

    As I pointed out in another thread, I think the big news that we were supposed to hear today is exactly the announcement for this event, not the actual RC. That's just my opinion, though; the consumers simply blew the rumors out of proportions, that's all...

    I'll be waiting for a look at the RC when actually out for the 64bit Ultimate here. Just about any MS however is subject to the rumor mill.

    Looking forward to the Release Candidate. At work, they actually have some of us piloting the beta version. I suspect they'll let is install the Release Candidate when it becomes available.
