I have been having a few problems with my WLM just lately in that I didn't realise that one could config the settings for in/out mail.
One thing that stuck out like a sore thumb was that if one clicked on the Junk down button it drops down with a "Safety Options" feature.
Now I didn't take much notice of the little shield marked "Safety options" and just used the add blocked and safe senders features.
Now it's just a thought but I think MS / Windows would have been better off naming it "Security options" to make the teknocompromised like myself take more notice of it.
Now I use Kaspersky IS 2011 on both machines and setting the mail scanning and filtering features exactly the same on both was left wondering why I was getting different "versions" of a message on each machine ie. Spam!! and not Spam!!
Now I have config'd the WLM this irritating little problem has gone away and I have been left to reflect on the long periods of configing my IS and not getting anywhere (not to mention the time it took).
So while I am not suggesting that a tutorial on WLM as a whole is available - that would be way too large a task for anyone - just one for configing the "Safety options" would be helpful to individuals like me.
On a personal note feel that security involving emails has become such an important issue that this might be a good mini tutorial to have, and the features in that "Safety options" settings are not really clear to me (what they mean or do) in order that I know what to set or not.
If anyone is wondering - yes I did try help but it only comes up with really simple stuff like FAQ and refs to the Live Help Centre (both sites do not - well on my machines a search box for specific queries.
*end of rant*
