IE8 Replaced by IE9 Beta accidentally!

    Hi,

Recently downloaded IE9 Beta and thought it was a standalone. I later realized that IE8 was missing. I use windows seven, so I cannot re-download IE8. I do not have any sort of recovery disc. Please help me!! Really =

    Uninstall the IE 9.
I'll get directions back in a minute.

Here you go a tutorial. Actually easy with pictures and directions.

IE 8 will be default once IE 9 is uninstalled.

    Hello Eddowii,

When you uninstall IE9 using the tutorial link posted above, IE8 will be restored back as the default again. :)

Can't you reinstall IE9 so it does show up, then use the instructions in the tutorial to remove it so IE8 will be reinstated?

    Eddowii,

If what Aaron posted above doesn't help, then type iexplore.exe in the Start Menu search box and press enter. Does it open IE for you? If so, click on Help and About Internet Explorer to see what the version number is.

If it's not IE8 or nothing opens, then I suppose that you could try a system restore using a restore point dated before you installed IE9 to undo it.
