Windows firewall interface is relatively simple. What you see in the control panel under windows firewall is mostly what you get. You can make it more robust by uninstalling any current security and replacing it with microsoft security essentials (just google it) which is free to anyone with a legitimate windows install.

Windows Firewall and Trend Micro

Hi Jacee:

I've done this before with no results but I decided to try again. I turned off Windows Firewall and Trend Micro.

I still can't upload via Firefox?

Any suggestions,

See if disabling Windows Defender (in services).. if it's enabled might be the culprit.

Firefox not uploading

Hello Maguscreed and Jacee:

I have Windows Defender turned-off. Don't need it. I have Trend Micro AV.

It's a huge mystery why this browser will not work for me.

Any more suggestions with thanks, ms

Which is your default Browser? Perhaps checking/changing which Windows uses by default:

Firefox 3.6.13

Hi Irene:

Shouldn't make a difference at all. I've used Firefox for many years.

I spent too much time on this issue with no results so I've removed Firefox from my system including the registry.

I'll have to find another browser.

Thanks, MS
