Firefox are you dying?

Oh why o why is Firefox eating my resources. Yes, we all know that FF can be a hog, but I have two tabs open and your killing my RAM.

I can rip a DVD with far less resources and FF is only browsing web pages, WTF?

Can someone explain, this plugin-container.exe? Is that the issue. I am running Firefox v3.6.13

Possibly addon related, which addons do you use? Personally, I have seen memory usage like that when the Adobe Flash player starts consuming resources. Hence why I don't use Adobe Flash anymore.

Extensions disabled, but here are the plug-ins. Not watching video or anything right now. Gmail and Windows 7 forum open.

Never had an issue before. This is not a piece of junk system for running a browser.

Ran virus scans and malwarebytes scan; nothing.

There is a possiblility of memory leakage with FF. There was a big issue with this in earlier versions but it was supposed to be fixed. Possible though with an update that code was crap and now the issue is back. I'll have to look at mine when I get home from work. Have you tried the new beta to see if it does the same thing?

I'm using AdBlock Plus,Download Helper,FB Purity,Norton Toolbar and maybe in the plugins list are listed 30 of them and my FF is now using 348mb of memory. I have opened only 4 tabs. XDA Forum,Seven Forums,The picture above, and one macedonian forum(vBulletin). I don't know why but FF is using too much ram memory somethime.

You could safely disable the java deployment and Mozilla default-plugin. I've noticed that on a odd occasion plugins sometimes don't properly load within the plugin-container process, instead loading in the FF process.

I suppose just like the addons you could disable all the plugins, reload FF, then re-enable them one by one until you find out which one is causing the memory spike (if any.)

Kill the plugin-container in newer versions of FF. It will eat tons of resources while viewing flash files, AKA YouTube videos and other Flash vids.

Trust me, it works perfectly.
Watch your resource monitor before and after... Huge difference
